Icky Sticky and Hair-raising?????

Hi Everyone!

Here are a couple of new LOs I created the past 2 days.

The first one shows Daniel on PEI in 2006 at our campfire time with icky sticky marshmallows! Too cute! Gosh, that was a FUN trip! I remember campfire time best of all. It was smthg we all looked fwd to every night! We met SO many nice people!

The second LO tells a funny Dan-Dan Houdini-Man story from this past week (May 2009). The photos are from 2007 though, just because they "worked" with the hair-raising tale the the LO features.

Journaling reads:

A Hair-raising Tale?

Before school one morning, I was combing Daniel’s hair. I told him that a wonderful scrapbooking friend of mine had mentioned that he looked like me, but that **I** thought that maybe he looked more like Daddy’s side of the family.

He replied, quite indignantly, that “I DON’T LOOK LIKE Daddy!! He only has hair on the right and left side of his head!”

I nearly cracked up trying NOT to laugh! What a character!

Photos of Daddy, Daniel & Noah: Spring 2007
Journaling: Spring 2009
This funny moment happened on May 22, 2009

Thanks for having a peek!

Pete's father was in the Military (Air Force). Peter is in first row at far right. :O)

In this photo, my sweetie is same age as Bryan is now (13). **Sigh** OH GOSH, time flies! This LO was created with scraps from an SBCH "Daisy Bucket Designs" yummy kit. First kit I purchased there and I LOVED it!

Thanks for looking!

Here are a couple more cards!

Hope you like them!! Thanks for looking...

~

I made 8 Christmas Cards today...

PLUS a little gift tag from my scraps! LOL~! **grin**

I did this for a Deanne's Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Blog! The May Challenge at CCAYR was to use flowers on your Christmas cards. I LOVE flowers- so this was a lotta fun! C'mon over to this fun Blog and enjoy the eye candy from the Design Team-- you won't regret it.

Here are the first 5 out of 8 cards I created today. Let me explain...

I LOVE making cards although I have only been at it about 1 1/4 years. I always give handmade cards to ALL the 2 little fellas' teachers (along w/ Noah's 3 Educational Assistants & Resource Teacher.) Last year I was up late on the night before last day of school creating those final few cards! ACK! Same thing happ'd on Valentine's Day in Feb of THIS year! Needed 17 cards all together for staff and teachers, EAs, so I still had 4-5 left night before!!!!!!! Well this Christmas I shall be ready. 8 cards ahead- that's reassuring already! LOL

Anyway, here they are! I used lots of Stickles and bling on them. Wish you could see it!
Some of the flowers I used were recycled from a card my sister had given me- unsure of the brand. (Thanks Mary!) The papers used here are mainly BasicGrey's Dasher cllection, one of my faves.
I am soooo excited to be using up my patterned paper stash!

Thanks so very much for checking out my cards! I had so much fun with this Challenge!
~

Excellent little project!

Have a look at this! It's a Tea Bag mini album by Mary Leeson. How adorable is it? I really need to try this!
LOL! ~

A card...

A Mother's Day card that I made for my Mom-in-Law, Chris, is posted on the Sisterhood of Scrap blog.
The gorgeous May 23rd sketch is by Deanne Burton. Here it is! Try it and be sure to let Deanne, Carla and Susan know!
Enjoy!

Sisterhood of Scrap: another Monday Challenge!

This is a layout I did for the SOS May 11th Challenge. [Just click on it to see details!] Deanne asked that we create a LO with flowers on it and stitch the stems and leaves on them. It could be "faux stitching" if we liked. I used my black CM pen to imitate straight stitched tendrils and a few leaves. Hopefully this qualifies. I can remember embroidering things with a straight stitch... I forget what it was called exactly! LOL. Anyway, I hope you like this!
EDITED: GUESS WHAT??? This LO received Kudos of the Day over at Scrapbooker's Club House! Thanks to Nicole who chose it today (May 23rd).
Daniel and the Tulips: 2006

Daniel is almost 6 years old here
LO is from my own a sketch.

Spring 2006

Yearly pics were taken by me at our home; in front yard.
SUPPLIES:
All flowers: Make it Special
Pens: CM and Uniball Signo: black
CS: Bazzill Jacaranda
Lettering: Basic Grey, Stella Ruby Collection

3 "May Challenges" on the Creatively Yours Blog!

Challenge A at CY
Challenge B at CY
Challenge C at CY

"And then there were two..."

"And then there were two..." is the name of the layout that I created with Deanne's May 15th, 2009 sketch. It's up on her "Just my Sketches" inspiration blog. I am very blessed to be on Deanne's "Layout Design Team 2." This is a page done with pics from 1999 of my niece Sophie, nephew Samuel and SIL Patricia... plus my MIL, Chris!
Here's some of the detail where I accented a bit using "Stickles" Love it.
Here's Deanne's awesome May 15th 2009 sketch!

Below is a page of Bryan and Daniel on Prince Edward Island in 2006. Those two kids are such hams! Daniel went to hug Bry and got him in a head-lock by mistake. I snapped a pic just as it happened. It was SO FUNNY! In this LO I was using up a bunch of Scenic Route patterned paper I had been hoarding for FAR too long. This is a nice simple LO- done with my own Sketch, (#12) from Creatively Yours... Love it. Thanks for looking!

((HUGZ)) everyone!

~

Finally!!

We got a moment to arrange and put up the kids' school photos! Well, we actually had Kate's commissioned by a photographer friend of ours at the end of Grade 8- June '08, on Oakley. So we refer to those as if they were her Grade 9 (Sept '08) pics!

Anyway!! We had 3 vertical pics of our boys and 1 horizontal pic of Kate! LOL. What to do? To top it all off, I was also ONLY able to get 3 of these sharp red frames-- so I bought one that I liked in black. As it turned out, the combo was perfect for the livingroom which incorporates taupe, cream and our RED curtains! LOL

Here is how we decided to hang the 4 school photos of the kids... They're on the wall as you enter the house & come upstairs (split level) - but near to, and visible from, the livingroom.

This arrangement of photos gave me some inspiration for a sketch. I'll have to do one up!!

Pete and I had wanted to have these framed photos up when our company arrived this weekend but we are a little late! Oh Well! They got to visit with all the kids which "made" our weekend and theirs too! ((HUGZ))~
