Reveal Day at Savvy n Sassy!

"One Fine Day"

What can I tell you ? The June Ribbon Kit from Savvy n Sassy, pictured above, is such a phenomenal value... no word of a lie,  I am STILL using up ribbon and trim from it, even after creating the layouts and projects below!

Run, don't walk to the Savvy n Sassy store! Here is the LINK to the "One Fine Day" June 2010 Ribbon Kit!

Here are my projects, ready to share with you!

Project #1 is a layout.

It features a photograph of Kate and her big Hanovarian-Thoroughbred  horse Grace, taken in March by Danique Fisher of Century Classic Photography. Layout showcases black organza ribbon, large turquoise ric rac and turquoise picot trim from the June Savvy n Sassy Ribbon Kit. .

Close-up views:

Li'l Davis Designs chipboard, turquoise ink,  Glossy Accents, Daisy Bucket patterned papers, Heidi Swapp gel blossoms, a HS ghost clock, die cut flower (by Creatively-Green) and glass beads (TY Mom) are featured above.

Below, I used a Provo Craft vellum Dragonfly, a vellum quote (source unkn.)  a CM Corner shaper, ink, and a Sizzlit Architectural Accent corner decoration.

Below I used a Karen Foster metal brad, mini brads, swirls cut from Sizzilit Architectural Accents and an oval tag cut with a Sizzlit die.

Project #2 is a Copic Notebook.

It features Pink Paislee paper and title lettering, DMC Floss,  June SnS kit ribbon, pom-pom trim, Sizzlit tags, beads,  3-D medallion flowers, and bright colours!

This is where I store my papers and tips about using Copic brand markers! I belong to the new Copic Club at Savvy n' Sassy and am learning aaaaaaallll about using the "Copics."  Ann and Lisa are helping me and the other Club Members out, though. Be sure to check it out HERE.

This notebook  has given me a place to stash all that great information!!  Yep- I'm a "Learning Junkie" right to the end!

 "Copic Tips Notebook"

Close-up views:

 Project #3 is another  layout.

It features photos from the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Cloud 9 Design patterned paper (Finley's Estate) , Bazzill cardstock,  some  of my  writing, ink, machine stitching,  June SnS Kit ric rac and picot lace trim,  as well as beads, brads, and Prima flowers.

Journaling reads:

We took a jaunt through

favourite parts of the Annapolis Valley

the weekend of our 15th Wedding

Anniversary.

On the way to Kingsport, this old barn

caught our attention.

Rough, weather-worn shingles

Peeling paint
Coloured panes in dusty windows

Handmade slatted wooden doors

Rusty hinges

Gaps where critters had sought refuge

Pathways overgrown by thick grass

A few flagstones still peeking through.

Immeasurable rough-hewn beauty...

August 2007

Title lettering is by BasicGrey. Many of the flowers were created by hand using an EK Success scallop circle punch as the base. Leaves: Jolees.

Project #4 is another layout.

It incorporates some "Happy Mail" my cousin Susan and her husband Chris sent us. These are darling photos of their 3 kids at Easter, 2009.

The Savvy n Sassy June kit's black pearlized-edged ric rac, black pom-pom trim, and black organza ribbon were used here in creating the "flowers."

The squished medallion flower w/ pink button centre was one I learned to create from Andrea Wiebe, with thanks to her for the freebie tutorial!!

Additionally, I used a Uniball Signo Gel Pen in white to add some doodling interest to the page.
Black floral paper (Dollarama ) was fussy-cut to create more floral interest.
TY to my friend Lois in BC for the gorgeus butterfly. Uniball Signo Gel pen in white was used for the butterfly trail. Title lettering: Carolee's Creations

Project #5 is a set of 8 mini notecards.

The cards are varied, simple and crisp. They measure about 3.5 x 3.5" and feature a few embellishments that work well with the beauty of the Savvy n Sassy June 2010 Ribbon Kit.

 Note cards #1 and 2

These feature: red gros grain ribbon and black organza ribbon
