"Scruff Bucket"- A layout for the JADS Challenge Blog
"Scruff Bucket" is the joking term our family uses for very unkempt people, or someone who is unshaven or has messy hair! We cannot help but think of "Humphrey" the Bactrian Camel at Oaklawn Farm Zoo in Aylesford , NS as a "Scruff Bucket" in the Spring when he is so rough and scruffy--  shedding the coat he grew against the winter's cold! LOL We love him anyway, though! He is a CUTE scruff bucket!!!!

Supplies:

Cardstock: Close to My Heart- Colonial White
Patterned papers: Close to My Heart "Zippidee" Collection

FYI Stamp: Fontwerks
Numbers: Flair
Title lettering: Collage Press
Flowers: Dollarama

Card made with a darling Bugaboo Digital Stamp!

"Ava" Stamp by Bugaboo ~ "Smiles" card by Ali

Hi Everyone!!

I've created a card with a stamp from the March sponsor at Jean's Art Dolls: Bugaboo Stamps!

Isn't "Ava" darling? I just love her.

I added a rub-on from Daisy D's that said "Smiles"... and used this as a "Get Well" card for the wife of one of Pete's co-workers. She was recovering from surgery and is now almost 100% well, I am happy to report.

This image was coloured with Merengue Hi-Jell Sparklers gel roller pens (1.0mm tip). The added sparkle was provided by use of some Stickles. Prima flowers and brads from BasicGrey completed the card. Pink cardstock is from Bazzill.

Go have a peek at the Bugaboo line-up of digital stamps- I am SURE you'll be as smitten as I was while browsing the store!!

Want a chance to WIN some Bugaboo Digital Stamps? SEVEN of them?? We4ll, enter the Challenge over at the JADS CHALLENGE BLOG!!
And... the JADS Design Team Members used the Bugaboo digital stamps we were given to full effect...

Check HERE at the JADS CHALLENGE BLOG and HERE in the JADS GALLERY to see what Jean's Art Dolls have created with these fun stamps!!

"Hat and Headphones" LO #31 in 2011, Day 25
Journaling:
Noah, you love using the computer. In early 2010, we got headphones that we hoped to use as a learning tool. You put them on & walked around! When we hooked them up to the speakers, it was fine! One morning, after helping you get ready for school, I found you sitting at the computer, wearing the headphones OVER your hat! What a moment. I RAN for the camera. You are just so precious. Love you…
Noah: Winter 2010, Grade 1
Hat made by Grandma
Journaling by Mom, Feb. 2011

Please note: The fact that Noah was fine with the headphones (as noted in the journaling) was a HUGE relief and interesting to us as he was/is very auditory sensitive and defensive due to his Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is bothered by many noises and sounds, so the fact that he tried the headphones himself and seemed to like them was AWESOME! :)

I pretty much let the paper be my "embellie" here.
I cut out the fun flowers from a sheet of the patt paper (pp). I used 3 sizes of patterns. LOVE THIS PAPER! This is all Crate Paper, their "Season" Collection. I ADORE this stuff!  My first time using this collection. LOVE the weight and "feel" of it.

Ride and learn
Kate and Grace spend a lot of time working together- every minute riding teaches them both skill and patience. Coach Alissa says Grace has great potential and that with consistent training, Kate will get her to where she needs to be. We are so lucky to have Alissa’s teaching and coaching guidance!!
