A surprise for the seniors in our lives...

My Mom and Dad-in-law, both in their 80's, live about 4.5 hrs away and with such serious mobility challenges for me, we can't go far. I decided that in 2021, I wanted them to have a little something from us every so often between our Sunday phone calls and decided on sending a handmade card every week or so, and including inside it a photo of our grand-daughters for them to enjoy.  We have a new grand-daughter, 3 mos old, and a very darling 6 year old one too! My in-laws are photo fanatics, so sending the photos that my hubby printed out for them in handmade cards was a gift that made their hearts happy and warm.
They are such wonderful people.
Here is one of the cards I made for them in January. Enjoy!

The little backstory here is that my German-born Mom-in-law loves fashion and has taught sewing lessons to her "ladies" privately for many years. She loves it when I am able to find images of fashionable ladies like this one for the cards I send her. :)  I find the images mainly on The Graphics Fairy and Vintage Moth sites. Go visit! So much great stuff! And all royalty-free. :)

Thanks a million for visiting today!

Swim!

Hello everyone! Welcome!
I decided to pop in today to share a LO I created a few days ago for our family's 2020 album. This one features Lilia going for a swim.
As many of you know, I like to combine Close To My Heart (CTMH) and Creative Memories (CM) items/styles in my LOs. Hope you like this one!
Journaling and supply list are below. :)

Journaling:

In early August, Lilia earned a big "high five" while swimming with her Mom in the 15ft pool in our backyard*. You can definitely see how much she was anticipating some water-fun while standing on the ladder, grinning for the camera,** and all ready to jump in.
Kate said "her confidence went up immensely this year! She was attempting to swim--and swimming--independently for most of the time she was in the pool. Last year she never let go!"
Bravo, Lilia!

This was a VERY fun LO to do! I have done it 3 times prior to this and went wild with this one- it's ours, and it looks nothing like the others, which were gift pages. They each followed the basic layout idea I had for the page, which I basically created as I went along, but everything else is different!

Photos were all printed at home by my husband:
Photo paper: Epson Premium Photo paper
Photo printer: Epson XP8600

Thanks so much for coming by today! Thrilled to be back to blogging my creations.
