A real honor and a cherished remembrance...

I was so honoured to have been asked by Creative Memories Home Office to contribute a layout sample for the Creative Memories World Wide Virtual Crop this past weekend!

Here's the page I made featuring our beautiful Skye and the CM "Go Fetch" Designer Paper Collection. I've included the links to my CM website for the supplies used. Photos of our beautiful Leonberger, Skye, were taken by my husband, Pete MacDonald, last summer. Heartbreakingly, we lost her a week later, so I know you understand when I say we cherish these beautiful photographs.
ENJOY!!

Supplies:

"Go Fetch" Designer Paper Collection- Creative Memories (CM)
White lettering for "Skye" - White Script- CM (retired)

Tools:
(*BMC is used in the Original Border Maker System by CM)
"Pet Palace" Punch (link below)
CM small foam squares (used to "pop" stickers up for dimension)

Here is the lovely Pet Palace punch that CM sent me! I just love it-- so cute! I did the brown bones on the border with this punch, in addition to the white bones on the dog's bowl and dog house. I layered (doubled) the white bones for added dimension.

Here are the photos I submitted to Home Office as instructional "helpers". They were posted alongside my LO.

1. Border components (Foam squares used to pop up paw-prints and heart stickers):

2. Bowl cluster pieces:

3. Bowl cluster:

4. "Not Spoiled" cluster:

I was also asked to include a scrappy tip in my submission.

Ali's SB'ing tip:

"I like to use different fonts when journaling in my scrapbooks. The one I used on my page is Baguet Script, a font included in my MS Word package. Dafont.com is a fantastic source of free fonts!  When I use a computer font to journal, I sign the reverse of the page with my name, the date, a heart, and “Love, Mom”. I write this on a special tag and secure it to the back of my page. I made this tag with the Damask Flourish Frame Punch."

Thank you so much for being here! ~Ali
