Shopping Party Fun!

This is a page I did for a challenge. I had to use cardstock, 2 patterned papers, a button, stitching and a free item of my choice (the ribbon). Thanks for looking!

Back Cover

I secured the ribbon with a chip-paper tag from the Daisy D.'s "Cool Dude" collection (ribbon, paper and tag from SBCH June Kit). This way it can't get lost or scrunched and will always be handy to use in closing the mini-album.

Oma's 90th Birthday!

I made a card for Oma Agnes' 90th birthday. She is Peter's Grandma (Oma) and our children's only living Great-Grandmother (Ur-Oma). She lives in Germany and is still in her own home, and has been known to chase the wild boars out of her garden! She joked with Peter yesterday on the phone about being old. What a character.
The font used for the German greeting (= Happy Birthday Oma) is called "Cotillion."
Enjoy! Thanks a million for looking!

Inside the card...

A birthday card for Patricia

Peter's sister's birthday is coming up and I had so much fun with the Father's Day cards that I decided to do a birthday card for her! I love how this turned out.

More cards:

This card is for my dad in law (Doug). It has an old fashioned pocket watch image on it because he enjoys geneaology and I used the watch could represent the passage of time.
The verse I chose for the inside of the two Father's Day cards says: "You're the kind of Dad most people wish they had." Perfect! Hope you like them!

My first-ever card...!!

I have been using up scraps of cardstock and patterned paper and have made 4 cards: my first attempts. The first 2 were Father's Day cards, and the next 2 were birthday cards. Had fun- really enjoyed this!
Of course we enclosed photos of the kids inside all 4 cards!

The card above is for my Dad. It has music notes along the top because he likes to play the piano and music is a HUGE part of his life. :)

All About Easy...

Journaling reads:
I don’t believe in making things complicated. With a big family, the simpler the better for me! This way I have more time to spend with everyone.

This was our lunch on Christmas Day, 2005. We had vegetables and dip, mandarin oranges, plus crackers, cheese, lean ham and turkey slices. I took photos because it all looked so beautiful! The veggies were all sliced the evening before so this was easy to put together.

Yummy, easy and healthy—and we needed THAT after sharing a box of chocolates (or two) throughout the morning while opening Christmas gifts. ** Big Wink**

Post-it Note Holder

A cute idea I found on one of my favourite scrapbooking sites. This little project used scraps of cardstock, thread, and floss, plus some metal buttons from the Frenchy's button-bin to create... Now, this is the first one, I'll do better at it as I practice this... the flap is closed with adhesive velcro and there is a square Post-it notepad inside!! Enjoy! :) Thanks for looking!
