The Guy I Married...

I have been wanting to scrapbook this photo for AGES. I have a copy of it in a double frame next to our wedding picture. :o) Perfect there.

Here's the journaling:

Ahhhh! All dressed up for the Riverview High School Prom. I was already so in love with you then… at seventeen. I’m wearing the pretty necklace you gave me that year- a gold chain with a tiny diamond set between intertwined hearts. I treasure that! You were 19 here, nearly 20.

Almost exactly eight years after this photograph was taken, we were married. Best move I ever made… I know it was for you too, ‘cause you tell me that all the time.

Partners forever.
How lucky are we?

I love you, Pete.

Liebe Dich Oma Agnes...

Love you Oma... This card was sent to Oma Agnes in hospital in Germany. She is recovering from a left-sided stroke suffered in November 2008. We sent this along with some new photos of the kids in plastic sleeves so that she can handle them without frames and enjoy them while in hospital.

My first ROUND layout!

This is my first Round Layout... It was created using the January 2009 "Prudence" Kit from Scrapbooker's Club House! These are self-portraits of our girl- Kate, in Spring 2007.

Thanks for looking!

Some December 2008 Cards... enjoy!

These cards were done with components of the January 2009 "Prudence" Kit from Scrapbooker's Club House. LOVE that Kit!
The gift card holder is my own design, and was given to my esthetician. The Christmas/Thank You greeting was handwritten on the pale turquoise/aqua section, inside.

Some Design Team work for December...

Alex and Cody's Wedding ~ August 2, 2008

The layouts posted above and below are ones I created with the new "Prudence" kit available over at Scrapbooker's Club House... it is by "Crate Paper" which just happens to be one of my favourite manufacturers...
Nicole, my friend and the SBCH owner always puts together the BEST kits... complete with EVERYTHING you'll need to make something beautiful! what do you think of this kit so far? I know! Isn't it gorgeous!? LOL Run, don't walk to the SBCH store.... quantities are limited.
Here is what some of the other members of our Design Team did with the same kit this month ...

Journaling reads:

Precious Baby “Mountain Cat”

In June 2007, a kitten arrived on our friends’ doorstep up on the South Mountain. Kindhearted, they took her in, named her “Tootsie” (because she was always underfoot) & tried to find her a home. She came to live with us.
Tootsie weighed only 2.5 lbs but quickly grew into an amazing little kitten with furries between her toes and very pretty tortoiseshell colouring. A year later, she was so long and had such thick fur-tufts between her toes that I began calling her my furry “Mountain Cat!”

"The trouble with trouble is that it starts out as fun." ~ Naomi Judd

Journaling Reads:
Bryan had received a dinosaur excavation set from Santa for Christmas. The kit included tools and goggles. Daniel put on the goggles, because Bryan already had glasses. Daniel and Bryan were happily tapping away with their hammer at the chunk of rock where the dino was hidden. Bryan looked up at Daddy on the deck, and Daddy told him to smile. He did. In the next second there was loud “OWWW!!!” as Daniel accidentally whacked his big brother in the hand with the metal hammer. Yikes! SNAP! Daddy caught the priceless expression on Bry’s face too! It was hilarious once Daddy saw that no bleeding was involved!

Our Wreath

Hope you like it... We had a storm overnight and throughout today, so I had to bang the snow off this before I could take the picture! LOL!
I made this yesterday & recycled my summer straw wreath to make it- even recycled the floral pins. I will be adding some pine pieces to it. Otherwise, I am as happy as happy can be with the way it turned out!

Grade 8 "Grad" photos and some wonderful news!

Here is my precious girl, in a self-portrait, with her not-so-baby-anymore kitten, Mitty.

The photographs with Oakley are small prints of Kate's Grade 8 graduation photos. We had them commissioned. All were taken in June~ "Thank you" to Kristie Innes for the beautiful portraits!

This layout is my sample for the Challenge I set over at Scrapbooker's Club House this month.
I was honoured to have been asked to design for them this month as a member of the Design Team. So excited!
This layout is based upon one of my own sketches.
Journaling reads:
Kate, when you graduated Grade 8, we had your portraits commissioned, with Oakley. So beautiful together; such a wonderful relationship, why do anything else?
In June, you took a self-portrait with Mitty.
It’s so “you” that it belongs here, too. Love you, my only girl.
I’m so proud of you. Love, Mom
